The S.H.Y. Lab studies the molecular pathology and tumor immunology at the Institute of Biotechnology, National Taiwan University. In our lab, we aim to categorize the tumor immune microenvironments (TIME) of three types of NSCLC: adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and large cell carcinoma by multiplex-IHC. We also plan to perform whole-exome sequencing to identify NSCLC specific TMB. We plan to build up an immune-based diagnostic platform, which can be a better guide to cancer care and contribute to precision medicine in the era of immuno-oncology and combination therapies. The laboratory also focuses on the influence of the microbiome on lung cancer development, progression, and/or resistance to therapy.
